Last updated: 12 June 2026
ALTRcare (“we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what information we collect, why, how we store it, and who we share it with. Because we handle health information, we treat your data with particular care.
This policy is intended to align with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us

- Health information — including your weight, height, BMI, medical history, current conditions, and your responses to our eligibility assessment. This is sensitive personal data and we handle it accordingly.
- Payment information — processed by our third-party payment provider; we do not store your full card or bank details.
Information collected automatically

2. Why we collect it
We use your information to:
- Determine your eligibility for medically supervised weight management.
- Facilitate your consultation with a registered medical practitioner.

- Provide care coordination, follow-ups, and support.
- Process payments and provide customer service.
3. Who we share it with
We share your information only with parties necessary to provide your care:
- Registered medical practitioners — your consulting doctor receives your health information to assess eligibility and provide treatment.
- Laboratory partner — where blood testing is included, our accredited lab partner receives the details needed to collect and process your sample.
- Fulfilment and pharmacy partner — receives your name, address, and prescription details necessary to dispense and deliver your medication.
- Payment provider — processes your payment.
We do not sell your personal data or share it for advertising purposes.
4. Where your information is stored
Your information is stored in secured digital records and tools used to operate the service, with access restricted to authorised ALTRcare personnel and the care partners described above. We take reasonable measures to protect your data, though no method of storage or transmission is completely secure.
5. How long we keep it
We retain your information for as long as needed to provide your care, meet legal and regulatory obligations (including medical record-keeping requirements), and resolve disputes. When no longer required, we take steps to delete or anonymise it.

You may:
- Request access to the personal data we hold about you.
